Christmas was great this year. My husband's sister and brother-in-law came in super late on Tuesday, December 20. I took off of work on Wednesday, December 21 so we had time to hang out, get some last minute shopping and cooking done. My husband's parents and our 4 year old niece came in on Thursday, late afternoon. My folks came and joined us for a dinner of homemade chili, cornbread and cole slaw. After dinner (and coconut cake), the kids opened the presents my mom brought. They had a blast with their new toys! Friday was a nice day of time as family. My husband even took the day off of work. Saturday was Christmas Eve and we had a relaxing day and then an early evening church service. After church, we had a yummy dinner of potato soup and then we took the kids to look at the town's Christmas light display. Christmas morning, the kids opened their stocking, and then we had a big breakfast. Then it was off to Worship at church. After church we had a light lunch and then the kids opened their big presents. Libby got a Goldilicious stuffed unicorn and a big book of Pinkalicious stories. Will got a "new to him" Nintendo DS Lite. Will has barely put the DS down since he got it. The whole family left on Monday morning and we were back to "normal."
